The Winter Wonder Walk captures the magic and wonder of the winter season like no other! Only here, can you immerse yourself in outdoor live-action theater, shop from local makers, climb a ropes course amongst thousands of glow lights, throw snowballs at our silly Snow Sprites, and sip a steaming cup of hot cocoa.
Step Inside The Book
We invite you to literally step inside the book and be transported into the magical world of Winterland. We will bring the pages to life with a live-action immersive story-walk on an outdoor trail complete with live characters, so many twinkling lights and Asheville's largest snowball fight.
Enjoy A Warm Cozy Festival
Under the heated tent, families can play elf games and crafts, and enjoy a holiday market, filled with locally made unique gifts. The tent is buzzing with hot chocolate, tasty treats, adult drinks and more! Outside the tent, there are cozy small bonfires for s'mores and a nightly food truck.

We are excited to join Literacy Together in their mission Literacy "to transform lives and communities through the power of literacy." This incredible local organization was created in 1986. Since their beginning over 35 years ago, they continued to grow programming and expand their reach to meet the literacy and English language needs of people of all ages in Buncombe County. A portion of ticket proceeds will go directly to Literacy Together!

There's SNOW Better time to read! Turn the page for a memorable holiday. Winter Wonder Walk inspires kids and rewards them for reading.
Asheville Plays will sponsor a ticket for each kid 10 and under who reads 10 books and fills out the book report form. Simply go to the registration desk, we will look up your report and give you a free ticket.

Camp Lakey Gap
We support Camp Lakey Gap who has a unique summer camp program designed for people with ASD. $1 from every adult beverage goes back to their mission.
Asheville Plays has raised over $6500 for Camp Lakey Gap in the past 3 years with the Haunted Trail and The Winter Wonder Walk and has helped create Asheville's Family Adventure Fest as an annual fundraiser.
